Lynne grew up in Rangeley and Farmington, Maine; she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine in French and History and her Master’s in American History from the University of New Hampshire.

She worked at the Currier Gallery of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire, where she was in charge of public programs and the coordination of the museum's statewide art competition and residency program for high school students. In this position, she also recruited, trained, and coordinated volunteers. After leaving the Currier, Lynne worked in positions related to fitness and personal health, and she helped manage a small business. Lynne lives in Somersworth, New Hampshire, with her husband and their two children.

What is your choice of mascot for Wells Reserve and why?

On a hot afternoon in July, I was running down a quiet trail near the Little River. My noisy feet startled a large owl, who lifted off from a low branch. For a few seconds, the owl flew just ahead of me, before disappearing into the trees. It was my first sighting of an owl in the wild. I hope it won't be my last!
